Curried Fish Steaks
Ingredients:
Fish Steaks – 250 gms
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – 1/8 tsp
Fennel Seeds – 1/8 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/8 tsp
Ginger – 2 tblsp, minced
Green Chillies – 2 tblsp, minced
Garlic – 2 tblsp, minced
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Mustard Paste – 1 1/2 tblsp
Water – 1/2 cup
Oil – 2 tblsp
Salt as per taste

Method:

1. Heat 1 tblsp oil in a pan.
2. Add the fish and fry on both sides for 2 minutes.
3. Remove and keep aside.
4. Heat the remaining oil in a separate pan.
5. Fry the cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds and mustard seeds.
6. Add the ginger, green chillies, turmeric powder, garlic, mustard paste, water and salt.
7. Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring from time to time.
8. When it starts to boil, add the fish steaks and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
9. Remove and serve.
