Kari Kurma Recipe

Mutton – 500 gms
Onion – 200 gms
Tomatoes – 250 gms
Garam Masala – 1 to 2 tsp
Coconut – 1/2
Chilli Powder – 2 to 3 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger – 1 one inch piece
Garlic – 2 to 3 flakes
Green Chillies – 3
Curd – 100 ml
Oil – 100 ml
Tamarind Pulp – 1/4 to 1/2 cup

1. Wash and cut mutton and soak in the curd.
2. Slice onion, crush chillies, ginger and garlic.
3. Chop tomatoes, mix with the curd.
4. Keep a pan over moderate heat and add oil and garam masala.
5. Add sliced onions and saute till it becomes golden colour.
6. Add mutton with crushed masala.
7. Keep sauting for some time and add chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
8. Add water and cook till it becomes tender.
9. Add ground coconut and cook for some more time. Later add tamarind pulp.
10. Serve hot.
