Goan Shrimp Curry
A classic dish from the Goan cuisine, serve it with rice or roti.

Instructions
Wash and drain the shrimps.
Add little salt and keep them aside for 5 to 10 minutes.
Dry roast the cumin seeds, red chillies and coriander seeds for 5 minutes over medium flame.
Remove and keep aside to cool.
Once cooled, combine the roasted spices, grated coconut, ginger, garlic, tamarind extract and 100 ml of water in a mixer.
Grind to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a nonstick pan over medium flame.
Add the onions and saute until golden brown.
Add the green chilli and little salt.
Cook for 2 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Add the ground paste and 150 ml of water. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and add the shrimps.
Simmer for 5 minutes or until the shrimps are cooked.
Add the vinegar and stir well.
Remove and transfer to a serving bowl.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
