Chinese Five Spice Powder
A staple of the Chinese cuisine, this is a mixture of 5 or more spices.

Cinnamon Sticks

Whole Star Anise

Fennel Seeds

Whole Cloves

Szechuan Peppercorns
Instructions
Heat a nonstick pan over medium flame.
Dry roast all the ingredients for 2 minutes or until dark and fragrant.
Remove and cool.
Then grind them to a fine powder.
Store in an airtight container.
Use as required.
Notes
If you do not have Szechuan peppercorns, you may substitute it with 3/4 tsp black peppercorns.
