Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rava (Semolina)
  • 1/2 cup Grated (dry-roasted Coconut)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cashewnuts (fried in a little ghee)
  • 1 tbsp Raisins (fried in a little ghee)
  • 3 to 4 tbsp Ghee
  • A pinch of Cardamom Powder

Instructions

  • Heat a little ghee in a pan.
  • Fry the rava until it turns a light golden colour. Please remove it from the pan and transfer it to a bowl.
  • Add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts, fried raisins, and the dry-roasted grated coconut to the bowl. Mix all these ingredients well.
  • In another pan, heat 1/4 cup of water over a medium flame. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves completely.
  • Add 1 tsp of milk to the sugar mixture and remove any impurities that rise to the top.
  • Boil the sugar syrup until it reaches a one-string consistency.
  • Remove the sugar syrup from heat and pour it over the rava-coconut mixture. Mix everything thoroughly.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then shape it into small balls.
