Green Peas Kheer


Green Peas
Green Peas – 1 cup
Milk – 1 litre
Rose Water – 2 tsp
Sugar – 1 1/2 cups
Ghee – 2 tblsp
Cashewnuts – few

1. Boil the green peas and mash coarsely.
2. Heat little ghee in a pan.
3. Saute the mashed green peas for a minute.
4. Add the remaining ghee and fry the cashewnuts.
5. Boil the milk and add the green peas.
6. Stir well and bring to a boil.
7. Simmer till the milk is reduced by half.
8. Add sugar and cashewnuts.
9. Mix well.
10. Just before removing, add rose water and stir.
11. Serve.
