Aval Laddu (or Poha Laddu) is a quick and delicious sweet for any occasion especially for festivals like Navratri, Diwali or Krishna Jayanthi.
Aval (Poha) – 1 cup
Brown Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – 1/4 cup
Cashewnuts – 1 tblsp, broken, fried in little ghee
Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp
1. Dry roast the aval till crisp and powder it.
2. Add brown sugar and cardamom powder.
3. Add cashewnuts and ghee.
4. Mix well and shape them into small balls.
5. Store them in an airtight container.
