Rava Pooranam Recipe

Bombay Rava – 1 cup
Coconut – 2 cups, grated
Jaggery – 1/2 cup, powdered
Ghee – 1/4 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
Water – 2 cups
Cashewnuts – 2 tblsp

1. Heat little ghee in a pan.
2. Fry the cashewnuts till golden and remove.
3. Add the rava and fry till golden.
4. Bring the water to a boil.
5. Add the rava and stir well till thick, like an upma.
6. Add coconut and jaggery.
7. Mix well.
8. Add cashewnuts, cardamom powder and stir gently.
9. Remove from flame.
10. Serve as it is or use this as a filling(pooranam) to Ganesh Chaturthi Kozhukattais.
