Ingredients:
Kollu (Horse Gram) – 1 cup
Roasted Gram – 1/2 cup
Dry Red Chillies – 4
Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 1/4 tsp
Peppercorns – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Dry roast the kollu for a minute or two.
2. Remove and keep aside.
3. Dry roast the chillies and keep aside.
4. Combine the kollu, chillies, roasted gram, peppercorns, asafoetida and salt.
5. Grind to a coarse or fine powder.
6. Heat oil in a pan.
7. Fry the curry leaves and add to the powder.
8. Store in an airtight container.
9. Use as required.
10. Stays good for a month.
