Ingredients:
Apple – 1, not too ripe and sweet, chopped
Onion – 1, chopped
Coconut – 3 tblsp, grated
Dry Red Chillies – 6
Curry Leaves – handful
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal – 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
Oil – 2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat little oil in a pan.
2. Add the apples, onions, red chillies, coconut and curry leaves.
3. Saute for a minute.
4. Remove and cool.
5. Add salt and a little water. Mix well.
6. Then grind to a smooth paste.
7. Heat the remaining oil in the pan.
8. Fry the mustard seeds, asafoetida and urad dal for 30 to 45 seconds.
9. Pour into the chutney.
10. Serve.
