  • 1 cup Basmati Rice (soaked for 10 to 15 minutes)
  • 3 cups Sweet Corn Kernels (pressure-cooked)
  • 2 Onions (sliced)
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamoms -
  • 10 Cashewnuts (fried in a bit of ghee)
  • 1/4 tsp Saffron Strands (dissolved in 2 tbsp warm milk)
  • Ghee as required
  • Salt as per taste

Grind together:

  • Onion - 1
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Ginger - 1/2-inch piece
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Almonds - 8 to 10 blanched
