1 Bunch of Spinach
2 pods of garlic
1/2 inch ginger
2 green chilles
2 cups of Basmati rice
Salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
2 tbs ghee
- Wash rice and keep aside. Then wash Spinach and chop it.
- Heat oil in a kadai add Jeera and mustard seeds then add the chooped spinach, chopped onions, paste of ginger and garlic and chilles too, stir fry for 5 minutes, then take it off the stove and cool.
- Then grind the spinach mixture in a blender with enough water.
- Heat ghee in the same kadai and add rice and fry the rice for a 5 minutes or till slightly golden, then add the spinach mixture from the blender to rice and then add enough water for the rice to cook and add salt and one teaspoon of sugar too for flavour. Turn stove off when rice is cooked, Can be eaten with kadi and Papad.
