Aval Bagalabath Recipe

Aval – 1 cup
Curd – 1 cup
Black Grapes – 10
Green Grapes – 10
Pomegranate Seeds – 2 tsp
Ginger – a small piece, grated
Green Chillies – 1, chopped
Curry Leaves – few
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

1. Sprinkle some water on the aval and lightly mix in a bowl.
2. Add salt, curd, grapes, pomegranate and mix well.
3. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
4. Fry the mustard seeds and asafoetida powder till the mustard seeds splutter.
5. Add ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and fry for another 30 seconds.
6. Pour this over the aval mixture and mix well.
7. Serve.
