Thondekai Curry Recipe

Kovakkai / Thondekai / Tindora
Ingredients:
Kovakkai / Thondekai / Tindora – 20, chopped
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Onions – 2, chopped
Dry Red Chillies – 4
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 2 tsp
Oil – 4 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Dry roast the cumin seeds, dry chillies and urad dal.
2. Combine and grind to a smooth powder.
3. Add the onions and grind coarsely.
4. Mix turmeric powder and salt with kovakkai.
5. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
6. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
7. Combine the onion and kovakkai mixture.
8. Add this to the pan and cook till a nice aroma appears, about 3 to 5 minutes.
9. Remove and serve hot with rice.
