Neem Flowers (Veppam Poo) – 50 gms, cleaned
Dry Red Chillies – 2
Tamarind – a small lemon sized ball
Jaggery – a small ball, powdered (as desired)
Asafoetida – a pinch
Oil – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Fry the veppam poo for a minute or two.
3. Add the dry red chillies, asafoetida and stir-fry for 45 seconds.
4. Remove and grind together with jaggery, salt, tamarind and enough water to a smooth paste.
5. Serve with hot rice.
