Tomato Coconut Biryani Recipe

Basmati Rice – 250 gms, soaked for 15 minutes
Onion – 1, finely chopped
Tomatoes – 4, chopped
Coriander Leaves – handful
Oil – 3 tsp
Ghee – 2 tsp
Salt as per taste

Grind together:
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Saunf – 1/2 tsp
Ginger – a small piece
Garlic – 10 cloves
Bay Leaf – 1
Cloves – 2
Cardamoms – 2
Coconut – 4 tsp, grated

1. Heat ghee and oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Add the chopped onions and saute till golden brown.
3. Add tomatoes, salt, coriander leaves and stir to mix well.
4. Add the ground paste and stir.
5. Pour 2 cups of water and add the rice.
6. Cover with a lid and cook till rice is done.
7. Serve hot.
