Onion Biryani Recipe

Basmati Rice – 250 gms, soaked for 15 minutes
Onions – 2, finely chopped
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Ghee – 2 tsp
Salt as per taste

Grind together:
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Bay Leaf – 1
Cloves – 2
Cardamoms – 2
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 10 cloves

1. Heat a pressure pan over medium flame.
2. Add ghee and oil.
3. Saute the onions till golden.
4. Add salt, turmeric powder, ground paste and stir well.
5. Pour 2 cups of water and add the soaked rice.
6. Cover with a lid and cook till the rice is done.
7. Remove and serve hot.
