Ingredients:
Basmati Rice – 250 gms, soaked for 15 minutes
Onion – 1, finely chopped
Tomato – 2, finely chopped
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Green Chilli – 1, chopped
Curd – 3 tsp
Green Peas – 1/4 cup
Ghee – 2 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt as per taste
Grind together:
Ginger – 1/4 inch piece
Garlic – 10 cloves
Bay Leaves – 2
Cloves – 2
Cardamoms – 2
Method:
1. Heat a pan over medium flame.
2. Add ghee and oil.
3. Saute the onions and ground paste.
4. Add tomatoes, green chillies, salt, red chilli powder, green peas, curd and 2 cups of water.
5. Stir and mix well.
6. Add the rice and cover the pan with a lid.
7. Cook till the rice is done.
8. Remove the lid and stir again.
9. Serve hot with side dish of choice.
