Siru Kizhangu Poriyal Recipe

Siru Kizhangu (Koorkai) – 200 gms, washed, pressure cooked for 1 whistle, peeled
Ginger Paste – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Coconut – 4 tsp, grated
Oil – 4 tsp
Salt as per taste

1. Halve the siru kizhangu and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan.
3. Add the mustard seeds, urad dal and stir fry for 30 seconds.
4. Add the ginger paste, red chilli powder, salt and halved siru kizhangu.
5. Mix well and add grated coconut.
6. Cook till done.
7. Serve with rice.
