  • 500 gms Chicken (bite-sized pieces)
  • 1/2 cup Onions (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 Coconut (small, grated)
  • 5 Green Chillies (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Khus Khus
  • 3/4 tsp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Aniseed
  • 1 Star Anise (small)
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon (stick)
  • 10 Curry Leaves

  • Heat 1/2 tsp oil; stir-fry ginger-garlic paste, grated coconut, and green chillies for a minute.
  • In another pan, roast khus khus, chana dal, aniseed, and star anise.
  • Grind the dal mixture and coconut mixture with water.
  • Heat remaining oil; add cloves, cinnamon, curry leaves, and onions; cook till golden.
  • Add chicken and ground paste; mix, cook for 5 mins.
  • Add water, stir; add tomatoes and cook for 10 mins.
