Pabda Macher Jhol Recipe

Pabda Macher Jhol
Ingredients:
Pomfret – 125 gms
Mustard Oil – 1/4 cup
Kalonji (Onion Seeds) – 1 tsp
Water – 2 cups
Green Chillies – 2 to 3, slit
Turmeric Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves – 1 tblsp, chopped
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Combine 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and little salt in a bowl.
2. Marinate the fish in this for 30 minutes and keep aside.
3. Heat oil in a pan over moderate flame.
4. Fry the fish till 3/4ths done.
5. Remove and drain excess oil.
6. Add kalonji, turmeric powder, green chillies and water to the pan.
7. Bring to a boil and add the fish.
8. Cook for about 10 minutes.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot.
