Macchi Ka Salan Recipe

Fish Fillets – 750 gms, cut into rounds
Oil – 1/3 cup
Onions – 1 cup, chopped
Salt as per taste

For the marinade:
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Green Chilli Paste – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
Mint Paste – 1 1/2 tblsp
Coriander Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp

1. Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
2. Add the fish fillets and marinate for 30 to 45 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a pan.
4. Saute the onions till light brown.
5. Add the marinated fillets and reduce flame to low.
6. Pour 1/4 cup of water and add salt.
7. Cook till the fish is tender and gravy has thickened.
8. Take care not to break the fillets.
9. Remove and serve hot.
