Cheese Puri


Cheese Puri
Wheat Flour – 1/2 cup
Maida – 1/2 cup
Potato – 1, boiled, peeled, mashed
Onion – 1, small, finely chopped
Cheese – 25 gms, grated
Green Chillies – 1, finely chopped
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
Ghee – 1 tsp
Oil for frying
Salt as per taste
Water as required

1. Heat a little oil in a pan over moderate flame.
2. Saute the onions for 30 to 45 seconds.
3. Add the chopped green chillies, salt and lemon juice.
4. Mix well and remove.
5. Add the cheese, maida, wheat flour, ghee and water.
6. Knead well to make a smooth dough.
7. Keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes and pinch small balls.
8. Roll these balls into small puris.
9. Deep fry them in hot oil.
10. Remove and serve hot.
