Garlic Kuzhambu


Garlic Kuzhambu
Garlic – 200 gms, peeled, halved
Tamarind Extract – 3/4 cup
Sambar Powder – 4 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Fenugreek – 1 tsp
Bengal Gram – 1 tsp
Dry Red Chillies – 1, broken
Oil – 1/4 cup
Salt as per taste

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add the mustard seeds, fenugreek, bengal gram and dry red chillies.
3. Fry for 45 to 60 seconds.
4. Add the halved garlic and stir for a minute.
5. Add sambar powder and stir.
6. Now add the tamarind extract and salt.
7. Allow it to boil for a few minutes.
8. Remove and serve hot with rice.
