Veg Paniyaram

A simple and tasty breakfast recipe, paniyaram is a popular South Indian dish.

Veg Paniyaram
Ingredients:
Idli Batter – 1 cup
Onion – 2 tblsp, finely chopped
Carrot – 2 tblsp, grated
Cabbage – 2 tblsp, grated
Coriander Leaves – few, chopped
Mint Leaves – few, chopped
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 1 to 2, finely chopped
Oil – 1/4 cup
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Add onions, carrot, cabbage, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, green chillies and salt to the batter.
2. Mix well.
3. Grease idli plates and pour the batter into the moulds.
4. Steam cook till done.
5. Serve hot with chutney of choice.

Paniyaram is not steamed. It is heated on a moulded skillet.
