Purple Mango Bongo Recipe

This refreshing blender drink has just a touch of Southern Comfort for flavor, but very little alcohol, so it won’t bowl you over.

Ingredients:

1 cup ice
1 small mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped (about 1 cup)
½ cup frozen blueberries
¼ cup apricot nectar
2 ounces Southern Comfort
1 ounce sweetened bottled lime juice

Method:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Cover and pulse on and off until the mixture starts to swirl evenly.
3. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until the drink is completely smooth.

Variations
Pink Mango Bongo – Omit the blueberries. Add 6 large frozen strawberries before blending.
Red Mango Bongo – Reduce the blueberries to ¼ cup. Add ¼ cup frozen raspberries before blending.
Super Mango Bongo – Add 1 ounce vodka before blending.
Yellow Mango Bongo – Omit the blueberries. Add 1 cup frozen peach slices before blending.

Zero-Proof Variation
Mango Bongo Smoothie Omit the Southern Comfort. Increase the apricot nectar to ½ cup.
