Black Gram Dal – 1 cup, washed, soaked for 2 hours
Mustard Seeds – little
Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
Dry Red Chillies – 5, broken
Coconut – 10 tsp, grated
Oil as required
Salt as per taste
1. Cook the black gram in a pressure cooker with 1 tsp oil till 1 whistle.
2. Drain well.
3. Heat oil in a pan.
4. Saute the mustard seeds, asafoetida and red chillies.
6. Add the black gram and grated coconut.
7. Add salt and mix well.
8. Serve in cups.
Tip: This is good for bone health.
