Malayali Five Spice Powder Recipe

Five Spice Powder
Nutmeg – 2, grated
Fennel Seeds – 200 gms
Cinnamon Sticks – 15 to 20, one inch sticks, broken into pieces
Cloves – 20
Mace – 4 large flakes

1. In a pan, mix all the ingredients.
2. Dry roast lightly for 5 to 8 minutes over low heat.
3. Remove and cool.
4. Then grind to a fine powder.
5. Store in an airtight container and use as required.
