Ingredients :
French beans or cabbage – 1/2 kg
A pinch of turmeric powder
Grated cocobut- 2 tbsp
Chooped coriander – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Seasoning :
Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Red chilles – 2
Curry leaves – 2 sprig.
Method :
1. String the beans. Wash and cut into very small pieces. If it is cabbage wash and chop.
2. Add salt, turmeric powder and just enough water to cook, set to boil and stream cook, sprinkling some salt and water. The vegetable should be cooked just right – not over cooked or soggy.
3. Heat oil, add seasonings and when done add the cooked vegetable. saute for 2 or 3 minutes or till all the water is obsorved and the vegetable is dry.
4. Add cocobut gratings, chopped coriander leaves, and mix well. remove from fire.
