Pan Seared King Prawns


Raw Prawns – 400 gms, with shells, deveined
Root Ginger – 4 slices, peeled and shredded
Garlic – 2 cloves, crushed
Olive Oil – 1/2 tblsp
Tamari Sauce – 2 tsp
Dry Sherry – 2 tsp
Sesame Oil – 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp, ground
Vegetable Stock – 4 tblsp
Spring Onions – 2, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
Cornflour – 1 tsp, mixed with 1 tblsp water

1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
2. Stir fry the garlic and ginger for a few seconds.
3. Add the prawns and stiry-fry for about a minute until almost cooked.
4. Season with tamari sauce, sherry, sesame oil and pepper.
5. Add the vegetable stock.
6. Add the cornflour paste and garnish with spring onions.
7. Serve immediately.
