Sauteed Chicken Livers

Chicken Livers – 12, about 250 gms, trimmed
Garlic – 1 clove, crushed
Olive Oil – 1/2 tblsp
Root Ginger – 1 slice, roughly chopped
Shallots – 2, sliced
Chicken Stock – 250 ml
Balsamic Vinegar – 1 tsp
Rice Wine – 1 tblsp
Tamari Sauce – 2 tsp

1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan over high heat.
2. Add the garlic, ginger and shallots.
3. Stir-fry for a few seconds.
4. Add the chicken livers and cook for a minute on each side.
5. Add the chicken stock, vinegar, rice wine and tamari sauce.
6. Bring to a boil.
7. Then simmer for a couple of minutes until the stock has reduced and thickened.
8. Serve as a side dish.
