Chinese Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Chicken Thighs – 400 gms, boneless and skinless, cut into 4
Lime  – 1, cut into wedges

For the Marinade:
Star Anise – 1
Szechuan Peppercorn – 1 tsp
Black Peppercorns – 1 tsp
Lemon Grass Stalks – 1, finely chopped
Garlic – 2 cloves, crushed
Fresh Root Ginger – 1 tsp, finely chopped
Tamari Sauce – 1 tblsp
Sesame Oil – 1 tsp
Five Spice Powder – 1 tsp

1. Coarsely grind the star anise, peppercorns, lemon grass, garlic and ginger to a paste.
2. Add the tamari sauce, sesame oil and five spice powder.
3. Mix well.
4. Rub the marinade into the chicken pieces.
5. Cover and keep it in a fridge for 60 minutes.
6. Cook the marinated chicken in a preheated oven at 240C for about 20 minutes or until done.
7. Remove and serve.
