Fish Curry with Coconut Black Masala Recipe

Fish Steaks – 750 gms, cleaned
Oil – 1 tblsp
Coconut Black Masala – 1 cup
Lime Juice – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste

For Marinade:
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Lime Juice – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp

1. Mix the marinade ingredients.
2. Rub into fish and marinate for 15 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a flat bottomed pan over medium heat.
4. Add coconut black masala.
5. Add 2 cups of water, lime juice, sugar and salt.
6. Bring to boil.
7. Lower heat.
8. Add marinated fish along with all the marinade and some water if necessary.
9. Cover pan with lid and cook for 10 minutes.
10. Add garam masala and turn off heat.
11. Keep covered for 2 minutes.
12. Serve with plain rice.
