Peerkankai Curry Recipe

Peerkankai (Ribbed Gourd) – 500 gms
Oil – 2 tblsp
Garlic – 1 tsp, ground
Onions – 2, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 6, chopped
Salt as per taste
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Kopra – 1/4, ground
Coriander – 1/2 tsp, ground

1. Peel the gourd and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan.
3. Add gourd, garlic, onions, chillies, salt and turmeric powder.
4. Cook on a slow fire.
5. When gourd is cooked and tender, add ground kopra and coriander.
6. Cover and simmer on low flame for a few minutes.
7. Serve hot.
