Fish – 1/2 kg
Garlic – 4 cloves
Oil – 100 ml
Salt as per aste
Tamarind Juice – 1/2 cup
Coconut – 1/2, grated, ground to a paste
Chilli Powder – 3 tsp

1. Clean fish and remove tail, head and insides.
2. Wash and smear with salt.
3. Heat 3 tbsp oil and add crushed garlic.
4. Add coconut paste and tamarind water to form medium thick gravy.
5. Cook for a few minutes.
6. Put in the fish and stir gently and simmer till done.
7. Add salt to taste and serve with boiled rice.
