Karamani Kathirikai Varuval Recipe

Karamani seeds – 200 gms
Brinjal – 200 gms
Onion – 150 gms
Tomatoes – 100 gms
Tamarind – 25 gms
Mustard – 2 to 3 tsp
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
Oil – 50 ml
Salt as per taste

1. Soak Karamani seeds overnight and boil well.
2. Keep a vessel on the fire, add fire.
3. When it is hot temper with mustard.
4. Add chopped onion, saute and add tomatoes chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder. Mix well.
5. Add brinjal and Karamani and saute well.
6. Add water and cook till done.
