Sesame Seeds – 1 1/2 tsp
Coconut – 1 cup, grated
Urad Dal – 2 tsp
Mangoes – 2, (dry or kept in brine)
Black Pepper – 1 tsp
Jaggery – 1 lemon sized ball

1. Wash mangoes and cook with jaggery and salt.
2. Fry sesame seeds, urad dal and black pepper.
3. Grind this with grated coconut to a fine paste.
4. Add this to the cooked mangoes.
5. Cook for a few minutes.
6. Serve.

Tip: Menaskai must be sweet and sour to taste and thick in consistency.
