Chikku Kheer


Chikkus – 3
Milk – 1 litre
Sweetener – 4 tsp or as required

1. Peel the chikkus, remove the seeds and mash the pulp with a spoon.
2. Keep aside.
3. Place the milk in a thick-bottomed pan and bring the milk to boil.
4. Continue to boil till it has reduced to less than half its quantity.
5. Mix in the sweetener and stir gently.
6. Add the chikku pulp.
7. Boil for 3 to 4 minutes more.
8. Remove the thickened kheer and serve cold or at room temperature.
