Broccoli Pakoras

Broccoli Florets – 250 gms,
Pepper Powder as per taste
Oil for deep frying
Salt as per taste

For the Batter:
Besan Flour – 2 cups
Oil – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

1. Break the broccoli into medium-sized florets and discard the stalk.
2. Sprinkle salt and pepper powder.
3. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
4. Drain out all the water.
5. Mix all the ingredients for the batter.
6. Add one and a half cups of water or a little more and mix into the besan.
7. Mix well to obtain a smooth flowing batter.
8. Heat enough oil for deep frying.
9. Dip each of the florets into this batter.
10. Deep fry in oil, a few at a time till the pakoras are golden brown and crispy.
11. Serve with chutney or sauce.
