Papaya Pulao Recipe

Basmati Rice – 3 cups
Raw Green Banana – 250 gms
Oil – 2 tblsp
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Cloves – 2
Cardamoms – 2
Dried Red Chillies – 3
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Curry Powder – 2 tsp

1. Peel the papaya, remove the seeds and cut into very thin slices.
2. Heat the oil in a pan.
3. Stir-fry papaya strips on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Add the spices and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
5. Cook on low fire covered with a lid till the papaya is tender and all the water is evaporated.
6. Serve on a bed of steamed rice.
