Oats Dhokla


Oats – 1 cup
Fried Semolina – 1 cup
Sour Curd – 1/2 cup
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece
Green Chilli – 1 or 2
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Coconut – 1/4 cup, grated
Mustard – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves – few
Oil as needed
Salt to taste

1. Grind the ginger and green chilli to a fine paste.
2. Beat sour curd.
3. Mix oats, semolina with curd for 10 minutes in a vessel.     
4. Add 2 tsp hot oil, ginger-green chilli paste, salt, turmeric powder, coconut and mix well.
5. Steam the batter.
6. When the batter is cooked, cut into pieces and sprinkle sugar over it.
7. Heat oil in a small frying pan.
8. Add mustard, cumin and when it splutters, add to the dhokla.
9. Serve with green chutney.
