Green Peas – 500 gms, unshelled
Ghee – 2 tblsp
Asafoetida – a pinch
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 2 tsp
Amchoor Powder – 3 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp

1. Wash peas and discard any discoloured ones.
2. Heat ghee in a large pan.
3. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds.
4. Fry for 45 to 60 seconds.
5. Add the whole peas, salt, garam masala and amchoor powder.
6. Mix well.
7. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes till peas are tender.
8. Serve hot.
