Sabut Bhindi (Whole Okra) Recipe

Bhindi (Okra) – 1/2 kg, tender and small
Coriander Seeds – 2 tsp, powdered
Aniseed (Saunf) – 1 tsp, powdered
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Mustard Oil – 100 ml
Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 2 tblsp

1. Wash and dry the okras.
2. Cut off the stems and make a slit along the lenght.
3. Mix coriander seeds, saunf, salt and red chilli together.
4. Put a little inside each bhindi.
5. Heat oil in a pan.
6. Fry asafoetida and ajwain for 2 minutes.
7. Add the stuffed okras and stir for a minute.
8. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 30 minutes till okras are tender and dry.
9. Remove and Serve.
