Beaten Rice Upma Recipe

Beaten Rice – 250 gms
Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
Channa Dal – 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Groundnut – 2 tsp
Onion – 2, chopped
Ginger – 1 one inch piece
Green Chilli – 2
Curry Leaves – 2 tsp, chopped
Oil – 2 tsp
Salt to taste

1. Soak beaten rice in water for 5 minutes and drain water completely.
2. Pour oil in the frying pan.
3. Add mustard.
4. When the mustard seeds splutter, add the dals, groundnut, chilli, onion and curry leaves.
5. Saute for a while.
6. Add the soaked beaten rice and salt along with the other masala ingredients.
7. Stir well.
8. Serve hot with chutney and curd.
