Quick Masala Channa

Ingredients:
White Kabuli Channa – 1 cup
Cinnamon – 1
Cloves – 1
Cardamom – 1
Oil – 1 tblsp
Ghee – 1 tblsp

Grind Together:
Red Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 6 flakes
Onion – 2
Pepper – 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 3/4 tsp
Tomatoes – 3

Method:
1. Soak channa for 10 to 12 hours in water with a little cooking soda.
2. Wash well.
3. Heat ghee and oil in a pressure pan.
4. Add cardamom, clove and cinnamon and then ground masala.
5. Fry well till the ghee separates from it.
6. Add soaked channa, enough water, salt and sugar to taste.
7. Cover the pan and pressure cook for 20 minutes in medium flame.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.
