Cauliflower Kootu


Cauliflower – 1, big
Ghee – 3 tblsp
Salt to taste
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp

Grind Together:
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Coconut – 4 tblsp, scraped
Poppy Seeds – 2 tsp
Cloves – 3
Green Chillies – 6
Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch
Roasted Gram – 1 1/2 tblsp

1. Separate cauliflower into small florets.
2. Soak in salted water and wash properly.
3. Heat ghee in pan. Add cumin seeds.
4. When it splatters add cauliflower and fry for few minutes.
5. Mix ground masala and fry for few more minutes.
6. Then add enough water and salt.
7. Close and keep in a low flame till gravy thickens and the cauliflower becomes tender.
8. Serve hot.
