Bread Kofta Curry

Ingredients:
Bread – 6 slices
Potatoes – 4
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – 2 tsp
Water – to soak bread

For Curry:
Oil – 6 tblsp
Onion – 2, finely chopped
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Curd – 2 tblsp
Tomatoes – 8, finely chopped
Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch, finely chopped

For Filling:
Oil – 2 tblsp
Onion – 2 big
Paneer – 25 gms
Green Chillies – 2
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Grind to a Paste:
Garlic – 6 flakes
Coriander Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Poppy Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece

Method:
1. Boil potatoes. Peel and mash.
2. Soak bread slices one by one in water.
3. Take out and squeeze the water from the slices and mix with mashed potatoes, chilli powder and salt.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
5. Add onions and saute till light brown.
6. Add paneer, fry for a while and then add the chopped green chillies, red chilli powder and salt to taste.
7. Keep aside.
8. Prepare small balls from the dough of bread and potatoes. Flatten on the palm.
9. Stuff the filling in the middle and close all around.
10. Deep fry these koftas in hot oil till golden brown.
11. Keep aside.
12. To make the curry, heat a little oil in a pan.
13. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
14. Add ground masala and fry till it separates from oil.
15. Add 1 tblsp of curd, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
16. Saute till oil is separated.
17. Add another tbslp of curd and continue to fry till oil is separated.
18. Mix tomatoes and fry.
19. Pour one cup of water and boil till the gravy becomes thick.
20. Add koftas just before serving.
21. Garnish with coriander leaves.
