Ingredients:
Tomatoes – 800 gms
Oil – 4 tbsp
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Cloves – 1 tsp
Bayleaves – 2
Green Cardamoms – 4
Ginger – 1 tbsp, chopped
Garlic – 1 tbsp, chopped
Water – 5 cups
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cream – 4 tbsp
Method:
1. Heat oil in a deep pan.
2. Add all the whole spices and saute till they crackle.
3. Add tomatoes along with ginger, garlic and water.
4. Bring to a boil and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and mash the tomatoes.
6. Strain the liquid through a soup strainer into another pan.
7. Heat the strained soup.
8. Adjust seasoning to taste and stir in cream.
9. Mix well and remove from heat.
10. Serve hot.
