Curried Drumsticks Recipe

Drumsticks – 8, cut into 2 1/2 inch pieces

Grind to a smooth paste with little water:
Coconut – 2/3 cup, grated
Green Chillies – 3
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Garlic – 3/4 tsp, minced
Ginger – 3/4 tsp, minced
Vegetable Oil – 3 tbsp
Onion – 1, large, sliced
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Vinegar – 1 tbsp

1. Pell off the hard outer fibre of the drumsticks.
2. Heat the oil in a pan.
3. Saute the onion till soft.
4. Add the ground spice paste and saute for 1 minute.
5. Add the drumsticks. Stir well.
6. Add 1/2 cup water and salt.
7. Cook covered on low heat until done.
8. Add vinegar and cook for 2 minutes more.
9. Adjust seasoning.
10. Serve hot.
