Ingredients:
Mango – 1, large, peeled, sliced
Ghee or Butter – 3 tbsp
Onion – 1, large, sliced
Cinnamon – 1 one inch stick
Cloves – 4 to 6
Green Cardamoms – 4 to 6
Jaggery – 6 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies – 2, seeded, chopped
Green Coriander – 1 tbsp, chopped
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Water – 1/2 cup
Method:
1. Heat the ghee or butter in a pan.
2. Add the onion, cinnamon stick, cloves and green cardamoms.
3. Saute till light brown.
4. Add the jaggery, mango, green chillies, green coriander, salt and water.
5. Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes and mix gently without breaking the mango slices.
6. Serve with dhansak.
